I’d like to show you two new paintings…
The first one is the one of Jared Leto. Just finished it yesterday.
Some texture on the background made with a stencil and gesso, his name was made with canvas alphabet letters.
And this painting is made after I’ve been to the concert of OneRepublic in Amsterdam on the 3rd of March.
It was AWESOME!! They sounded sooooo good life! Ryan Tedder has a fantastic voice!
It looks like this is a small painting but really, in fact is a rather big one…

This afternoon I finished my latest painting… Robert Pattinson.
I wanted this painting in full color, no black! I really love how it turned out!!
It isn’t clear to see on the photo but the alfabet is stencilled with metallic paint, copper.
Already thinking about the following paintings… Just wait and see…

First of all I want to wish everybody a fantastic New Year! May all your dreams come true!!
And with a new year I’ll need a new calender…
I bought a calender with pictures of cats. I liked the cats so they could stay, on the rest of the pages I glued parts of old newspapers and covered those with a layer of gesso. I played with some paint, crayons, tape and rub-ons and to finish each page I took some old magazines to create the names and dates of the birthdays of my family and friends.
I just finished the first four months:

Last week I went to a concert of Douwe Bob (a young Dutch singer/songwriter). I really LOVED it!! The music, his voice, the lyrics… FANTASTIC!!!!
In my enthousiasm I decided to paint his portret:
afmeting: 40 – 80 cm.
I made this painting after a photograph which I found on the internet. Here’s a pic of the original photo, made by Roger Cremers. He’s a professional photographer from Amsterdam.
And some pictures of the concert:
After the concert Carmen and I had our picture taken with Douwe Bob.
We already booked concert tickets for the 18th of October in Bergen op Zoom!! (that’s only a one hour drive by car).

This morning I loaded my paintings in the back of my car and drove to Vlissingen.
For the next few months they will decorate the walls of Grand Café De Schutterij!!!
I love how their colours match with the furniture… and I hope to get some good comments and the upper best would be to sell one… or two… or more!!!
I will let you know!!
