Welcome everyone to Six Lilies Studio!!! This is my first post to my brandnew blog!
Yes… from now on I have my own blog! How cool is that? I’m soooo happy with it
and I hope to meet old and new friends over here.

I wanna start with a HUGE thanks to my dear friends Marit and Marius, without
them I never, never would have come to this point!! So: “THANKS for making it
possible for me to get my own place in the virtual world!!!!! I love you both for it!!!”

Besides working to get this blog on the go, I’ve been creating on paper too. I just
finished this book called “Faces”. By accident I got to see Teesha Moore’s work
and I instantly loved it!! She makes the most gorgeous things and I was fascinated
by her bookcovers made out of pieces of fabric. I didn’t want to do the same thing
so I came up with the idea to crochet a book cover. I’m rather happy with the way it
turned out.
The size of this book is 20-25 cm.

The black “shadows” are sprayed with glimmermist…

Her hat is a cookie jar for dog cookies combined with dog belts…

Her hat is a blouse, see the arms???

And her hat are legs…

Her hat is a skirt and her body a tailor’s dummy…

One of my favorites… I really like those blue circles and her red lips…

Her headband is a bracelet…

Her hat is an armrest of a couch…

This was the face of a baby… her hat is a flower…

Her hat is a supermodern building…

Her body is a statue of stone… love her eyes!!

Her hat is cut out of a cosmetic advertisement and her body is a tailor’s dummy too…

Back cover.

Detail of the back cover.

Well, that were lots of pictures in my first post!! Did you stay till the end??? I hope
you did and ofcourse I’m very curious of what you think of it so I would love to
receive your comments…

I’m planning to show you some of my work on weekly basis (maybe twice
a week?) so I’ll end this post with wishing you all a great week and I hope I will
see you all next week!!

Love, Lena
