A new painting…

It’s been a while… SORRY!!!
I was busy making this painting, the deadline was yesterday… Glad to say it was finished on time!!
This is a baby portrait of Nini, she’s a close colleague of me. We work at the same office for years now!!
Recently she also turned 50 and yesterday was her celebration party.
I made this painting after a small photo that was on her invitation card…
It really surprised her and she LOVED it!! (ha!!… that was just what I had hoped!!)

And I almost forgot I had made this…
You must think; ‘Huh’… what’s this???
Well… When you fold it, it’s a box. It was made for a contest of a Dutch post delivery company. You had to design a new box for parcel post.
Mine didn’t win but I wanted to show you anyway…

Wow, Lena…wat is die mooi geworden, zeg!!! Wat heb je super gedaan zo. Kan me voorstellen dat je collega blij was. Zou ik ook zijn! ;-) en je inzending voor die pakketpost wedstrijd…waarschijnlijk was de jury niet kunstzinnig genoeg ingesteld want ik had graag mijn pakketjes in deze verpakking ontvangen!
Dát waren nou nog eens gezellige pakket-doosjes geweest!!! Jammer dat je niet gewonnen hebt, ik vind het ontwerp prachtig!!! Je schilderij mag er ook weer zijn, geen wonder dat ze blij verrast was! Geniet van je vrije dag meis… hier ligt een (dun) laagje sneeuw… doe je wel voorzichtig op de weg als het glad is? bbrrrr… ik blijf lekker binnen vandaag hoor, ik stuur M. wel om boodschappen ;)

En dat ontwerp voor die doos is ook zo mooi. Wat jammer dat je niet gewonnen hebt, had het je ècht gegund.
